Move That Over There

About a month ago we were scrolling through FB marketplace and we found two large rabbit hutches and miscellaneous items for raising rabbits for sale.  The hutches were large and didn't fit on the rented trailer that had we brought all the way up into New Hampshire with us to bring them home with.  That trip was nerve racking,  Just picture two large hutches, each one hanging over opposite sides of the trailer, and a white knuckled 2.5 hour trip back home.  Anyway, I digress... When we got them home Mr. fired up the tractor, put the forks on the front, and proceeded to lift them off the trailer and place them over near the chicken coop.  Mr.'s idea was to make it neat and orderly and everything contained to one area to ease in the care of the animals. Well, after placing them and stepping back to look at his handy work, Mrs. decides that she wanted them on across the field so that they didn't block the view of the pond, (which you can literally see from just about every angle.)  So being the good Mr., I moved them to where she wanted them.

Each hutch houses two rabbits, one on each side.  Leaving an empty side for additional chickens.  Mr. went to Home Depot and Tractor supply, bought lumber and wire to make a chicken run to attach to the "coop".  Mr. built it, and loaded the new flock of laying hens along with their rooster inside and everyone was happy, the end.  Nope.

That night coyotes and racoons visited.  The problem was "taken care off".  Life went on.  We lost no chickens.  A breeding trio of rabbits were purchased and moved into their respective hutches.  Mrs. immediately put the buck and one of the does together.  The buck is now named Mr. Quickie and for good reason.  He wasted no time getting to work and within a few seconds, literally a few seconds, he was leaning back smoking a cigarette.

Fast forward about three weeks.  Mrs. now thinks the hutches and new coop should be closer tot he other ones.  It would make feeding and care easier.  So Mr. went out and detached the run from the chicken/rabbit hutch.  Once again loaded the forks onto the tractor and moved first the run and attached it to the original coop making the run on that coop much larger.  After some minor reconstruction it was time to move the chickens over.  Of course some escaped and the chase was on.  Finally, having wrangled all the poultry into their new location.  It was time to move the hutches.  The rabbits were corralled into cages for transport.  Each hutch was lifter and brought over and placed in their original place from weeks ago.  The rabbits were reunited into their homes and extension cords were run for their heated water bottles.  We are expecting baby rabbits any day now.

Mrs., commented on how nice everything looks being all together and that everything should be painted white.

Mrs. is happy, therefore Mr. is happy
